MAIN EVENT
WWA World Heavyweight Title and WWA World Tag Team Titles
Pete Jackson, Matt and Jeff Hardy (with Chris Champion)
vs.
John Cena and Team 3D
If Cena and Team 3D win: Cena wins the WWA World Heavyweight Title
If Jackson and the Hardy's win: The Hardy's win the WWA World Tag Team Titles
(NOTE: Matt Hardy replaces Edge who retired last week due to an injury.)
As the match beings, Pete Jackson announced the newest Hollywood Player would
still be appearing at Spring Stampede, “when the time was right”.
It was clear from the start that Cena and the Dudley’s were not going to
bond well in the match, as their styles clashed big time. But as the match went
on, they started to click very well. Near the 40 minute mark Cena had Jackson
in the STF. It looked like Jackson was finished when… “The Game” starts to play
over the arena. Out walks former World Champion turned movie actor superstar
Nic Cross! The fans look shocked. Cross had appeared at Starrcade last year in
Piper’s Pit, vowing it was his ‘final’ appearance in the PWA. This soon took
Cena’s attention and he broke the STF, allowing Jackson time to recover. Cross
takes a mic and the entire arena, even the wrestlers in the ring are listening.
It becomes crystal clear that Nic Cross is the newest member of the Hollywood
Players as he spends time making fun of John Cena, trashing the PWA front
office and even takes jabs at all wrestling fans in general. As Cena’s
attention is turned to Cross, Jackson takes advantage and attacks Cena from
behind and nails him with a Cena Bomb, his own finisher. Jackson gets the pin
and victory, costing Team 3D the WWA World Tag Team Titles. The Dudley boys
are pissed off big time. Cena is in shock while Jackson, Chris Champion and
Nic Cross and The Hardy’s are all celebrating in the ring. Afterwards the
Hollywood Players attack John Cena, as Team 3D walk to the back, refusing to
help him, still blaming Cena for costing them the titles. The PPV ends with
Jackson and Cross talking even more trash, as Cena looks to be out cold.
Pete Jackson, Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated John Cena and Team 3D in 49:12.
Matt and Jeff Hardy win the WWA World Tag Teams Titles.
